So I think I accidentally threw away my game cartridges for 3 games, all of which I have save data for. I’ve looked for them but to no avail, so now I’m looking to replace them. If I were to buy the new copy’s of the games would I be able to just play them as normal or would I run into any issues, because I’m thinking about just getting them second hand this time around. Any suggestions/thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Save data is stored on the console, not the cartridge. If you were to buy a new cartridge I’m pretty sure you’d just pick up your save game as if nothing happened.
its exactly this.
