Blank Screen but can hear sound..

Hi,

I left my OLED switch docked (God knows how long cause I've been so busy) but as I tried turning it on, it's on but the whole screen is pitch black. The power cable has been connected to an outlet that can be turned on and off by a light switch and I'm assuming it got bricked when a relative of mine, turned off the light switch which I usually leave on.

Has this happened to anyone before and have you resolved this issue?

I've tried following a youtube video that required a hard reset and factory resetting but nothing has solved it.
I've tried also by draining the battery then charging it again, the screen worked by showing the nintendo logo and the battery being low but when it's charged, its pitch black again.
I also haven't tried Nintendo support but if anyone would like to give me insights, that'd be greatly appreciated.

if you can hear the sounds on the speaker but there’s no video out on the screen and when docked then it’s highly likely that the SoC is damaged, i don’t think theres a way to fix that without sending it to nintendo for repairs

Ahhh.. I’m still within the 1 year warranty so I’m going to send it over to Nintendo with my proof of receipt that it’s within 1 year but I feel it’ll be about $100 to fix 🥲

This is actually a legitimate issue that you can use your warranty for, no worry.
