That's one of the conflicting records I've found unfortunately.

This page doesn't mention platform, only the game, unless I'm missing something. Others specify 3DS version.

From my understand its via amiibo in the 3DS version. But on the same token I'm curious if he shows up still in non-Nintendo platforms. I'd be getting the Switch version for the extra boss, otherwise I'd get it on PC.

Hmm, it doesn't mention Switch specifically but the aspect ratio couldn't be 3DS on an emulator or anything so I guess its Switch!
