Guys. Just want to confirm that I'm not alone in this: In Docked mode, the Home button only turn on the Switch and also auto turn on TV (CEC) but this Home button does NOT switch input on TV to the nintendo switch TV input when TV is in another input right (when both Switch and TV is on already instead of off/sleep)? While Xbox or Ps5 can do this with the controller

I think it does because I was using a TV box input on my TV earlier and when I docked my switch in. It automatically went to the HDMI 1 input. When I was originally in HDMI 2 input (that's where the TV box is plugged in)
Just tested a few seconds ago with my TV I turned on my TV and set it to HDMI 1 with the TV box and then when I docked my switch it automatically changed input to HDMI 2
Even when it is docked pressing the Home button with a controller automatically changes the input for me
@shell cloak thanks for replying!
However
Have u tested with the Switch already in Dock mode
and its turned on instead of sleep
then TV is already On and in another input
then u press Home button to see if TV switch input back to the Switch input?
Let me try that real quick with the switch on and the TV on also
thanks!
Sadly it doesn't switch if the switch is already on however the controller inputs still work even if the TV is in a different input (not really useful but kinda neat to know)
yea i noticed that too
Never really noticed it since my switch tends to go to sleep mode pretty quickly when I go afk for a bit
ah makes sense !
I don't think many people actually brought this up so probably Nintendo will never add such feature
sad that PS and Xbox can do it with their controller tho
Nintendo tends not to implement these small quality of life features
