HOW TO DELETE & RECONNECT CONTROLLER PAIRING

※ With the Switch console in handheld mode.
1. Detach/Disconnect all the Joy-Con and controllers from the Nintendo Switch console.
2. From the HOME Menu, select System Settings ⚙️ > Controllers and Sensors > Disconnect Controllers.
3. Hold down the “X” Button on the right Joy-Con until the blue circle is fully illuminated.
4. Attach or connect any Joy-con and controllers you want to pair to the console.

※ Update the controllers' firmware can fix several issues.

But the Switch's software is full of such randomness, sometime it's best not to find out the reason

coz it's a waste of time haha

There's a soft-format function that can solve all software issues but it's too heavy-handed
