HOW TO FIX JOY-CON DRIFTING BY YOURSELF
※ Note: Nintendo will accept to repair drifting for free on most region, regardless of warranty.
■ Method 1: Calibration is a temporary fix for light cases.
From Home Screen > System Settings ⚙️ > Controllers and Sensors > Calibrate Control Sticks > Initiate Calibration by pressing Ⓧ.
■ Method 2: Clean the debris stuck inside the joystick's casing by one of these methods (From least to most effective):
・ Using compressed air can or squeeze blower, blow air under the rubber cover at the joystick's base.
・ Using a q-tip, dampen with IPA 70% (Isopropyl alcohol, no more than 90%), wipe under the rubber cover.
・ Using electrical contacts cleaner, spray under the rubber cover.
️⚠︎️ Note: WD-40 is not a suitable solution for this. Use WD-40 branded electrical contacts cleaner instead.
