My official nintendo pro controller keeps blinking after I connect it to my computer through bluetooth. None of the buttons work and it isn't recognized by betterjoy or steam. It works perfectly fine when I use it with a cable. Any suggestions?

The light blinking is normal. It's because there is no official support on Windows for Pro con, so it just doesn't know what to do with the light. When you connect it to a wrapper software liek BetterJoy or Steam, the light can be configured.
Try removing the controller from the bluetooth device list and pair it back again.

The Pro con is broadcasting its own bluetooth signal, your PC receive it via a receiver.

Then connect the controller via bluetooth again.
And then open a web-browser, type in this into the address bar: http://localhost:26762/
See which one is your Pro con and check if it's Hidden, if it is then Unhide it

also this is a portable version
as in it doesn't install anything into your machine
use it then delete it later if you want

Reinstall BetterJoy again, see if it can recognize the controller.
I do recommend using BetterJoy since it's an software with on-going development and can support dual joycon setup.
But it's actually not the best for Pro con, there are many other alternative
Heck DS4Windows is even better for Pro con now
