Hi! I haven’t played my switch in a few months and now every single game I put in the console gives me this error. I’ve cleaned a cart to see if that was the issue and it still didn’t work. I’ve never been tech savvy so I can’t tell what’s up with it. (Sorry if the images are sort of low quality my camera just refuses to correctly focus) I had it stored in a clothing drawer that I never really got into so I don’t know if the way I stored it is the problem or what but I’ve never had this issue before.

not much better but maybe this will help

ALSO I’ve had the console since I believe may 2017 so it’s admittedly gotten a bit older

There's a chance the contacts have corroded slightly

#

Make sure you use isopropanol that's 99% or higher as lower concentrations contain water

(technically 99% isopropanol is 1% water but that's not enough to corrode the contacts)

Thanks for the advice! I tried it and it didn’t seem to help. A friend of mine is gonna help me look into it and hopefully we can get it resolved!

#

But it’s definitely a lot cleaner now lol

okay

If cleaning it doesn't work, you may need to have the cartridge reader replaced

Hmm tbh I don't recommend cleaning these things yourself, since they break easily. In these cases, if there's no obstruction inside, you should think of sending it into repair, to replace the cart reader.

#

If you ask Nintendo customer support, they would object against doing any cleaning at all.

I’ve updated everything, also I looked into having it fixed by Nintendo, and i got this

So I’ll need to wait a bit
