#Hello Neighbour Playtime Gone

Did you change the date on your switch recently?
I have to keep saying it but the play time tracking feature of this console is simply wack.
It has waaaay too many problems and strange design.
From time to time it just decides to go poop, and fixing it doesn't worth the time ._.
my save data isnt gone tho which is even stranger
yeah it's just that feature
I'd suggest to not rely on the playtime tracking at all.
sure thing
Yeah it’s super weird
After 10 days of playing it’ll display the total hours
No idea why it would break like that
ive had hello neighbour for 4 years tho
Lol
bruh
Rip
Did you know? if you transfer your account to another console, you would have to play the game till the new time is the same as the old time for it to start counting again.
Wow what?
rlly?
when i replaced my switch and got most of my data back all the playtime was there
didnt have to play them at all
But it won't count up
So if you play a game like 48 hours in the previous console
yh
you need to play 48+ hours on the new console for it to start counting
Nintendo you so crazy
bruhhhh
but when it does that, you have already played 96 hours or more
yh
but it starts counting at 49 hours
Also, there's actually some sort of syncing between consoles for playtime
but I have no idea when it does that
yh
and how it does that
You can login into multiple consoles
and you would have different play time count on all of them lol
lmao
Lol
There is an account transfer feature that can carry this data over
but what if you don't use that feature and just download your data, ya know, like how modern device would work
then your play time won't be carried over
The weirdest ass thing is....
the Nintendo parental control app
that thing has the accurate play time tracking
and sync over the net
but why that app can do it
and your console can't?
Well, that's just how Nintendo is
I use the parental control app for time tracking but it’s so convoluted
Somehow u can’t see it all in one place
yeah that's the problem with it
it works like a calendar
But it sure can tracks
the data is there, somewhere on Nintendo's server
it's just not used for the console's play time tracking feature
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I don’t understand Nintendo and the internet mostly
Maybe one day in the future they will fix that
They did make bluetooth headphones work in a seemingly too weak wireless chipset after all.
I meant, it's still a basic feature but they can still do it. So here's hopeful lol
Yeah it is only the midway point in the switch's life cycle
