@magic matrix for bh5 all archers is probably the best thing to look at - hidden defences are probably what you need to worry about more than the base itself when it comes to archers so focus more on visible buildings

Even if it means forcing the enemies into picking archers

1 Ground behind the barracks
1 Air between Gem mine and Army Camp

So these are the changes I made to the base for BH4, I'm fairly early on. Notice the red areas. ES= Elixir Storage, GP = Guard Post

The extra layer of walls and the trap placement definitely help this base.

Before I started using this, I was getting beat every time. After this, I've won every battle I've had.

Also I see that the Guard post is 2x2, that shouldn't be a problem.

I'd say unlock the machine, then focus on getting a troop to max so you can win most BH5 matchups and upgrade the machine to 5 afterwards

The machine is quite expensive, think 900.000-1.000.000-1.100.100 etcetera so you'd leave the lab empty for quite a while if you dont pay any attention to it

@modern plaza southern teasers work pretty well for BH4, center things round the crusher, and put your fire cracker and balloon on seperate sides of the base

@iron cedar If you look at some of the top players, you'll see a lot of what they use for BH5, trap placements will vary but its a matter of looking at the base and getting a feel of how you should spread your traps around

I am defending max babies atm with lvl 1 air bombs, it's now level 2 so defend even better now, 2xlvl 3 fire crackers and 2xlvl 4 archer towers
