The sense of smell is an extroardinary thing. It has many purposes and uses, and helps us alot. Is it far-fetched to think that it can do more than we think? I believe not. Many people, including my aunt, mother, and brother, claim that they can sense if somebody or somewhere is bad. This may sound odd at first, but makes sense with some research. Dogs, for example, can smell changes in mood, blood pressure, blood sugar, and more. They do this by smelling phoromones. Phoromones are chemicals given off by our bodies that can indicate different moods. And, of course, dogs have amazing senses of smell, which allows them to smell these phoromones. So, is it possible for a human to do the same? It is possible for a human to smell these differences, however it is mostly either ignored by us or our body, or we don't know what it is and ignore it. After all, most people don't even know what they are, let alone what they smell like. But, I believe that it is possible for some people to smell

it and others can't. How? What if certain people had a much more refined and powerful sense of smell, to be able to smell them, maybe without even noticing? Or maybe some people's bodies take notice of these pheromones, and others don't? After all, many functions of the body happen without our notice. You don't decide when your heart needs to beat, or how to digest food. So it isn't hard to believe that our bodies mostly ignore these pheromones, and other's don't. Either of these would explain why three people in my family can sense bad people, and other families have nobody who can, as these could both be genetical.
