I would say that in my early days things didn't click well. I started in high school but I did not grasp it back then. Although later on I ended up learning better and kind of just made it a hobby.

C# is a typed language variables can't just contain whatever you want you need to define them ahead of time. But TypesScipt can turn javascript into a typed language sort of.

By sort of I mean that TypeScript doesn't force javascript to be typed but is a test system where it knows what a variable should be and will warn you if you deviate from you definition

This really just helps with spotting potential bugs while writing code.

I've actually be playing around with Unity lately and it mainly uses C# but apparently you can also use Javascript. However I hear they are removing the javascript support.
