Greetings Jay! I am submitting my "Elo-hell" submission not because I believe I am above the rank I belong in, but because I want to be judged on my ability to not only read each fight I'm in, but also how my decision making based on the information I absorb impacts my team, and how it influences our team fights both positively, and negatively.
I started playing ranked competitively in season 6.0 with only 20 games played and finished silver 3. Then in season 6.5 I played a lot more and had peaked Diamond 2, while finishing D3. I don't have background history in competitive team games, however I solo queued (predominantly as a healer) to Grandmaster 2 in season 7.0 and finished out grandmaster 3. While maintaining a positive win rate and improving with White Fox simultaneously.
Now going into season 7.5 my goal is to reach Celestial 3 by the end of the season, while actively doing everything I can to improve in Marvel Rivals.
I’ve come to believe that my strongest ability in this game isn’t my mechanical skills, its my ability to absorb information and quickly make a decision to counteract the strategy I come to believe the other team is planning to act out. I am also extremely strong at positioning myself to shut down as many possible openings and plans that can be executed before they’re performed. Because my brain and ability to plan and act quickly is the most valuable thing I bring to matches, and as a support I do my best to make sure I die as infrequently as I possibly can, and when I die I reflect to think about possible ways my death could’ve been prevented, if possible, I also vod review my own games at the end if comp sessions.
