Damn that's a shiny silver, what sort are you using?
Have you tried out enamel based panel liners before? I bet these would go hard with some black panel lining
@hollow steeple I have some and the icon bearer has the gundam one on it. It wasn’t dark enough for what I want and I will probably use an oil wash of my own creation on them when I get to that stage. The oil wash will just be an easier clean up than the enamel seems to be.
With the enamel you just touch it into the crack and it flows in there, it's not a paint it all over kind of one
@hollow steeple It’s on there. Like I said it isn’t as dark as I want it to be and it didn’t clean up as nicely as an oil pin wash despite being on a gloss varnish. I will probably just do my own. I did get some good shading from it in a few spots. It’s probably the brand more than anything. I may try a Tamiya version in the future, but I know when I do it by oil pin wash I can clean it up with mineral spirits so I probably will just go that way.
Oh yeah that's not dark at all really. What brand did you use?
@hollow steeple Bandai spirits GM302 it’s mostly in Japanese so I am unsure. It might be a grey instead of a black as I look at the lid.
