#Adding fake grass & rocks to baseplate, yes or no?

Might have to do it more than once to get a desired effect though, just a tip.
Glue some on, then glue some more on after the first has dried
Bor också i Sverige 😅
Regular PVA glue, typ trälim or skollim
The white stuff
And yeah sand also works
Can also buy basing glue from army painter for example but it’s just marked up regular pva
I would recommend painting the base before applying the grass though. Some greens and browns look better than black in the places where the grass doesn’t cover
It becomes clear
Test whatever pva you have just to make sure
That should work
If you picked it up outside I would recommend running it at like 100-150 degrees in the oven for like half an hour
To kill off any organic material
You don’t really need to wash it.
The baking thing makes sense I guess, but once you’ve coated the whole thing in PVA I don’t really see what could survive.
Also consider getting grass tufts in stead of flock, it’s infinitely easier to work with.
Lastly, you can paint your tufts to integrate them more into the base.
Here’s an example of a base I made recently using sand from my drive and grass tufts.
I used UV resin as glue to reduce the curing time but PVA works the same way.
I added some greenstuff for more of a muddy texture where the mini sits but it’s entirely optional.
Forgot the finished product.
Btw the seed stocks are just hairs from an old brush with a few dabs of super glue on the tip. Then painted to match the rest. It’s a neat and easy trick to create a bit more interest.
I also make sure to use tufts of varying lengths and trim them a bit for a more random and natural look.
