Hey all, working on a CK army. Lore is it's a knight house based on a tomb world.

I'm pretty happy with my paintjobs, but my bases are looking a bit flat. I've always been a bit lazy about basing, but I want to push these bases a bit higher without resoting to ripping them apart and redoing it completely.

Do I just add some greenery? Or maybe some snow would be cool? Open to any ideas.

I would suggest powdered pigment. It's super easy, it will add some color variety to the base, will make the ground look like actual ground with dirt/sand on it, and if you add it to the base itself, the pillar, the tombstone and the legs of the titan, it really brings everything together and make them feel like the all belong to the same scene.

Unless you expect to manipulate it a lot, there's generally no need for a fixer, but if you need one use a drop of isopropyl alcohol.

Use one or two colors pigments that are clos-ish to the color of the base, add it with a soft make up brush

You can also add some teeny tiny grass tuffs here and there, which can also be powdered with pigment if you feel like it.

I would say lean into it, put some more graves down. Make it like they’re in a very full graveyard. That’s my thoughts, anyways. If you still want more, you could put some skeletons poking out of some of them
