Alright, here’s a puzzle: for some reason my Medium Sea Grey seems slightly darker than my Dark Sea Grey. I’ve added mixing balls and shaken both thoroughly. Did I just get an odd batch or what? This doesn’t seem to match the official Vallejo color chart.

Vallejo swatches are known for not being accurate.

Hmm. That's very odd.

#

Part of me wants to chalk it up to dark sea grey being "gris marina" in the original Spanish labelling.

#

So in this case it would be reasonable to highlight medium sea grey with dark sea grey, rather than the other way around?

That's going to annoy me, but guess I'm doing it that way.

I feel like there are a few odd examples owing to spanish translations with vallejo

#

And Spanish in general

#

A lot of English speakers find ‘extra dry’ meaning medium dry/sweet for wine is one example
