-Paint thinner can ruin a lot of minis
-isopropyl alcohol doesnt seem to get the job done well enough
-I want to try Acetone free nail polish remover but ive read it can also damage minis

Any suggestions that will get the job done safely ad completely?

Dettol Bath if you can get it im your country. It will stink, it will turn your hands yellow if you dont use gloves (or split them and not notice), but it will remove better then anything else ive used. Even left minis in there for 2 years and no damage.

Acetone free nail polish is often Ethyl acetate that will have the same effect as acetone.
I second that isopropyl alcohol by itself is not enough and you need to brush. And the efficiency depends on the age of the paints. models recently painted will be stripped quickly while models painted years ago might resist.
I second also the Dettol (and its effects and side effects). Also be aware that it needs to be cleaned properly and I can't remember if it's with hot or cold water, but of these two will transform the Dettol in a gooppy/sticky layer.

Thanks @dry dagger , i forgot to say, after Dettol, its a warm bath of Soapy water (washing up liquid) first, then a cold water bath. NOT cold first, otherwise its back in the dettol again.

Same thing - Biostrip (UK) or Smart Strip (US)

LA Totally Awesome - Dollar stores in the US

90%+ ISO (or denatured, it's all the same) works best in my experience but I am playing with Smart Strip more

If you soak it in iso, light scrub and rinse, get a cheap $10 water pick off of Amazon for the crevices. You can put the iso in an ultrasonic cleaner to help it along, just keep the heat off or low. You dont need to run it for more than 10 minutes anyway, so even with a heat function it doesnt have tome to really kick in
