#Can you guys help me with some suggestions on how to paint a miniature similar to the picture below:

I’m interested in how they do blending on the blues and maybe what techniques/colors that looks like? I’m a very beginner painter and I know won’t achieve the same result but I would still like to try
This sort of looks like Corvus black and temple guard blue but I can’t figure out the color in between
I tried painting some of my miniatures in a similar color scheme:
You almost there, actually. Thinner paint and more glazing for transistions
Ok I’ll go watch some videos on how to properly thin paint and how to glaze better
Vince Venturella has a whole series on how to's.
Nice
He's generally my go to.
Also, great job so far on your minis
Thank you
I needed some practice before I get to my big minis
I watched his video on how to glaze and he said that glazes only work on lighter colors. Since I’m applying blue on a a black, does that mean the glaze won’t work or is that perfect because I want only a bit of blue on the black?
Glazes work best with darker colors because of the pigment size. Blue counts as a dark color and it should work fine since you want a bit of the blue on the black.
Go from the area you want the lightest amount of color on and pull to the darkest portion
Ok thanks
My only concern is that I have a light blue
