The only other medium ive used is lahmian medium and now ive bought this glazing medium. Its a lot thicker than im used to. To anyone experienced with this, could i put a bit in a separate bottle and water it down or is that something thats advised against?

When you’re adding this to your paint you should do it on your palette and you should also include water.
I would not pre-dilute this in another bottle - just mix it into the paint + water as you need it.
