First time painter here. Just got done with my wash and just looking for a quick answer from those more experienced.
Does this look how it’s supposed to after a wash or is it wrong?

Looks like you had a lot of pooling on flat surfaces, generally you want to try to avoid that.
Washes are more meant for recesses
You can wipe washes up in undesired places with a damp brush
Aha, I kind of had a feeling that was the case but I couldn’t really figure out how to get some off of it. Felt like I was just swishing around more and more 😂😂 thank you
So, perhaps I just had the brush loaded up with too much as well?
if you see some pooling as you're getting the wash on, you have to adjust it while it's still wet or else you'll just have to go back over it again later with your starting base color (not the end of the world)
odds are your brush was either too wet, or the wash had already dried a lil too much. In this case a damp brush really does just means barely not-dry

👍 I had a friend who used to soak his brush in water, then go to grab some paint afterwards and he wondered why he could never get much paint. Can't really absorb much into the brush if it's already full of water ya know?
makes sense
Hehe got it to a state that I don’t totally hate by doing some dry brushing
