Currently Working on this Knight of Stature! Coming along well, lots of trim tho....
Also started up on a new firekeeper model, excited to progress, but scared to be honest 😅
Don't be scared, remember how appreciative she was when you gave her a random pair of eyeballs you found in another shrine? Think how thrilled she'd be if you painted her
so give her googley eyes is what you're saying 👀
Exactly
Undercoated this crystal sorceress, excited to get to work on her, I think the cloak and staff are going to come out really nicely.
Also, Update on the Knight of stature, he's done. I'll post a link to his completed post in here once I get some photos.
Had to put the sorceress on hold as I'm painting for a local contest now, but excited to share updates on that WIP 👀
Very simple mockup:
First layers of paint:
I've got a long way to go still, but it's nice to finally have some paint on the model after a few days of fiddling around with ideas.
update: the brush was calling, so I answered.
Put the final touches on him tonight and started on the revenant queen's skin and cloak
None of the parts are done completely yet, just wanted to put it all together to get an idea of composition.
going well, but I gotta re-do the tree. Bends are all wrong I think.
Base and cloak mostly finished, working on her fur coat now and after that will be onto the body.
Working on the armor. Painted as if it was just pink and blue and then went over the highlights with a steel recipe.
Added gold trim and the ruby to tie everything together. Significant improvement, excited to see where the rest of this paintjob takes me.
Finished the rubies and gold on the loincloth and did the hair/face/hands. All that's left now is some touch ups on the fur cloak and the spear. Excited to get this mini done!
Dark Souls - Solaire
Basecoat
Started on this last night for the competition at game con canada! Really happy with how it's going so far:
Day 2 and 3.
I'm expiramenting a lot here with the armor as I've never done a serious attempt at OSL before, and especially not over a suit of armor...
and if I'm being honest, I have no idea what I'm doing lmao. Trust the process is my mantra.
I pray that it looks as awesome as I think it will. luckily I've painted fast enough that I think I'll have time for a second attempt if I fuck it all up with the airbrush lol.
Looks great so far
Day 4.
Did a good amount of work on the base now.
I'm going to put a good amount of effort into the skulls still, and I've gotta make a choice here.
Either I leave the leather boots/gloves/etc, and spray the orange over blue like I'm doing with the armor. This would keep the piece more unified I think.
Or I paint them with a brown leather and remove all the blue from them. This would help readability of the individual pieces.
I'm leaning towards the latter, but always open to feedback and suggestions.
