#Zenithal highlight with white ink looks fubar

You can't prime over bare plastic with ink, so idk if that was a typo.
You probably need to turn up the psi on the air brush some to get it smoother
sorry yes that was a typo, I mean highlight with ink over primer.. I have edited the original post to avoid further confustion. π
Any idea how to fix this? Can I spray more ink on it to soften the spots or is it better to prime the mini again with a spray can?
You can try to use a layer of thin paint, see if there is texture. If not, you can just go over it again
Pressure might have been too high so it pooled.
Thanks for your answers! π Looks like the airbrush was a bit clogged or something. After a good cleaning I was able to get a smooth result! π
that is a very kool effect ... thanks for the tip πΊ
Haha glad you like it, I agree it would have been a cool effect if it was desired.. π
so, it was high or low pressure ink over black primer?
I haven't changed the pressure, it seems the airbrush was spraying irregularly because of clogging. Was a cheap ass airbrush too, with a handheld compressor from aliexpress (can't use a "real" compressor for multiple reasons). Cleaned it and the spraying was smooth again..
π€ ok, so it's going to be a challenge to replicate your 'error' πΉ
Maybe pour some flour in your ink to replicate π
π€ kinda looks like a surface tension issue ... and, no, I will not be mixing flour with my paint πΈ
i got one of those and got a regular airbrush hose and connected it so I didn't have to hold the compressor bit
Nice, can you post what brand / model exactly? What PSI does it deliver?
its a cheap one
"Kibee"
the hose I got and attachments provide a pressure regulator
but i'd expect because of the hose the PSI is reduce
no PSI gauge unfrotunately so don't know
iirc the website said 20 PSI
And that's enough to get good results?
Checked again the specs of my compressor... While it says on aliexpress "motor delivers 32 PSI", the printed specs that came with it say "working pressure 10-20 PSI"...
So could it be that the low pressure is causing this effect?
π€ does it pulse? ...
It could be inconsistent pressure
