Hello!

I have a slaves to darkness figure who has had a layer of gloss varnish a while back (so that I could do an enamel wash). Few weeks on from then and I've brushed on some Matt varnish (army painter) but he's still looking very glossy too me...do you think I should risk another coat? If so, how much should I water it down? I'm quite new to painting and not very confident with varnishing! (Where I live it's cold so hard to use a rattle can)

A matt varnish that still look satin or glossy is often an indication it hasn't been shaken enough.
I would shake it a lot, then do a quick trial on a glossy piece of plastic to see if that works.

Thank you Antinea! I didn't realise that was the case, I'll give it a major shake and try again- would you recommend I think with water or go straight from the bottle?
