#gritty prime: sand or strip?

I have some 28 mm tanks that have a gritty feel after prime. Should I try sanding them, maybe with a foam pad or just strip with IPA?

If it's gritty you might have just been a bit too far from the model and some of the atomized paint dried midair, then stuck to the wet paint. Might not be able to sand it out

Ok. I think I'll get an ultrasonic cleaner from harbor freight and strip in IPA
