Hey everyone,
I bought minis set and one of the minis is printed in kinda translusucent blue.
THe character in the book is this kinda spirit in the world. She is translucent and glowy (in the book).

As I said the mini itself is printed as translucent blue. Me being newbee when it comes to mini painting I wanted to ask if there are some advice or techiques for minis/characters like this. If not I would like to ask your opinion if you would leave the mini unpainted or try to paint it "normal" way.

Also for anyone who is interested the set is base for Stormlight archive.

The translucent ones are kinda hard to paint if you want to keep the translucency. You can apply a layer of matte varnish over and paint over that.
I find it easier to just lightly tint them with inks from the airbrush to keep the effect.

Yeah I say inks too, just make sure it's not an opaque ink.

Ak 3rd gen has a series of "Clear..." paints that are meant for painting windows etc.

I painted ice man from marvel zombicide by painting a lighter blue AP speed paint all over him, and then a light white dry brush to make it look like frost. Finished with gloss varnish. Looks surprisingly good.
