After some false starts and sizing issues with the print, I got the plinth designed

And now I'm starting on the final version of the bust itself

I did a few practice runs with color choice on the smaller busts to try and match the paints as closely as possible to the clip

Now that I have the base flesh color put down, I'm wondering how I should proceed, and also was hoping to get some input/CC on how to paint it so it mimics the animated style of the show.

My plan is to mask off the skin and hair and airbrush the blue shirt, then mask off everything but the hair and put down the base (dark brown spot-"shade" seen in the reference photos) then airbrush zenithal the lighter hair color so that the darker tone forms a natural shadow on the bulbous parts of the model's hair
