So Im working on a display diorama with a figure on rocky and grassy hill, which will include alot of grass.. I want to it proper, bus was wondering about the "right" order of operation. I definitely do want to paint the grass though. I would have done it like this:

  1. Glue on the grass
  2. Prime the base
  3. Zenithal highlight
  4. Rough draft for the grass colours through the airbrush
  5. paint the rocks and dirt
  6. highlight the grass by fine stippling with a brush

Will this work? Ill probably make a small mock base, but would like some opinions on this train of thought. Thanks!

Should work. Night Shift on YouTube has loads of videos on dioramas where he paints grass
