Any should work
I have used both cheap droppers and some slightly more expensive ones (501 I think is the brand name, still cheap I think). The cheaper unbranded ones kinda suck. In the short term they’re fine so if you burn through your paints quickly they’ll be no problem but
- They do not seal between the cap and nozzle hardly at all so paint really starts to build up in the cap and does get messy over time from shaking.
- Because they don’t seal well if you don’t use the paint they will eventually dry out, but have some that are around four years old which are still good while others went bad after a year.
- Have had a number of them where the caps themselves broke into two; with the top of the cap and threads becoming two parts. Oddly enough with the threads no longer pulling it down they actually seal better than before.
The 501 brand I’ve tried aren’t without issues either, but I have had far fewer issues with them. The caps are two part safety cap style lids and on a couple of them the grooves inside them have broken making it a bit difficult to open. You can still open them but it gets annoying when you’re repeatedly opening the same bottle to use a bit more (like with mediums). The only other (sorta) issue I have had was their nozzles are made of a softer plastic similar to the bottle itself. So if it’s clogged and you need to punch it the nozzle can cap rip on the side if you use a needle that is too thick (was lazy and used a handy toothpick instead of getting up to grab my needle and this happened). However I haven’t noticed any problems with the paint coming out even with a torn nozzle (still replaced it with a new one so I’d know it sealed and wouldn’t dry out).
