Hi everyone,
Can anyone help me with some of my oldest synthetic brushes?
Are they restorable, and how?

Thanks in advance.

The big black one is an old make up brush I used for dry brushing. This one is easy to replace.
The two on the right I used for metallics. They are in awful shape...

Do you have brush soap?

Yes, I have a piece of brush soap, but this alone don't seem to do the trick, in this cases.

5 and 6 (from left) may be you could try for drybrush also. Sometimes its very usefull take a small brush which help to be an extra accurucy with it.

Also i use old synthetic brushes for expiriments with mixing colors. Something like your number 2 and 3.

How to do a hard-reset and get very dirty brushes usable again! In this video I look at both natural sable hair brushes and synthetic golden taklon brushes. Get the dry paint out and re-form the tips! In this video we use a microscope to take a closer look at the paintbrushes and at the individual bristles.

Number 3, 7 and 9 (l-r) are still in questionable shape, but with the rest, I think I can work.
Thanks
