I only started the flat colors for now. I tried a new paint brand for the yellow and I'm quite happy with the results!

I tried purple for thr spikes but it looks too cartoony to my taste so moving back to yellow. What a chore.

Didn't have much will to paint this week but I made some progress tonight. Here's the step by step progress of my blue plates 🙂

Light blue
Darker blue
Smooth with very pale but transparent blue
Define with phantom grey (the base coat color)

I'm reviving my own thread lol... I took an extended break but finally finished the light blue this morning. Will go for the shading tomorrow I think 🙂

It's really disappointing that the nicest part is generally not visible but oh well!
