I am trying to figure out the Citadel paint-thingie. But i am not sure if i understand it correctly....
Base first, then shade, that's easy. But then there are two layers... if i would guess i would say that layer 1 goes over most of the flat areas (leaving base and shade in the recesses), and then layer 2 is edge highlight. Is that correct? 🙂
I looked in the Citadel app and there it just seems like layer 1 and 2 are both edge highlights... so i got confused.

Hi, yes, you understood correctly, both colors, layers 1 and 2 are applied to illuminate, painting only the areas that should receive more intensity of light, one over the other, just covering a slightly smaller surface in the successive layer. Acrylic paints have the characteristic of having great transparency, some colors even more than others, as is the case with the yellow ones in your example.
