#Help needed to make visor reflective.

I really like what you have. The skyline looks great. To really sell the idea of a reflection I think you need to increase the contrast quite a bit.
Just a quick edit to show what I mean. I think you can go even brighter than this, if you wanted to. It depends how bright you're going with highlights on the skin, I think.
Thanks, that looks so much better. It looks as if you've made the black deeper on the buildings and then added in a gradient in the background? And gray in the foreground of the buildings? I was expecting advice to paint more of a shine on the edges but this works even better than that. Think I'll definitely go over the buildings again. Thanks!
An update: Your picture looked great and so I used it as a reference. Here's the result. I think it looks better but maybe I need to go bluer in the sky. I thought fenrisian grey would do the trick but it's maybe not blue enough.
A pic of the original, the suggestion and then my attempt to recreate that. I think it is better than it was for sure! I might continue to tinker with it but happy with the direction it's going. Mostly just darkening the buildings and adding a glow from them helped a ton.
Looks brilliant dude. That skyline really is super well done.
Looking great! I’d maybe add a bit more of a specular reflection
I find that clear varnish, matt, sating or gloss, can be used to add effects such as glass-shine. I know that some painting purists dump on doing that, but still. It can be very effective when done right.
@hearty bay Thanks so much! I never really get any feedback apart from my wife and 6yo boy and so that's great to hear! They are always positive but what else they gonna say lol. I tend to just get mostly ignored on Reddit.
Thanks! I am tempted to up the white bit in the top corner a bit and neither generally lighten the edges.
Same boat. Wife and 6yo couldn't care less about my plastic figures.
Lots of "yep, it's nice." 😄
These look super sick bro!!
Thanks!! The top and the bottom are before and after and the middle is Gnilab's mock-up impression of what I should do.
