#Paint separating from the basecoat.

I’m gonna just preface this with: I might be wrong.
That being said, it doesn’t LOOK like paint separating, it looks like texture created from painting on paint that’s not yet dry. It’s particularly telling in another area of the mini, img attached. That in mind it just seems to me that you’re not letting the paint set. Again, could be wrong but that’s what it looks like. Good luck!
Looks fine, but yea the guy above is right, that part is weird. To me it looks like paint that wasn’t thinned enough
These terrain are made with PVA glue!? If it is not completely dry before receiving the paint, this can cause cracks due to the surface shrinking after drying.
I mean the area around the feet
I appreciate the input, this guy is months hold and has been seating on a shelf for some time, it was not like after I finish him, my initial thought was temperature
It was one of my first minis so I can see that I definitely failed to thin the paint correctly, I got concerned because the paint didn't look like that when I finished him.
Ohh that is intended, is crackle basing paint, it just I mess up and a bit went to his boot.
Do you have any pics taken when you finished the model? What kind of prep did you do before painting (wash? Primer?)? How long did you wait after priming (if applicable)? Did you use varnish?
There could be more clues in the answers to these questions
Mhhh I don't have anything that shows the specific angle but this picture was during the initial drybrush
I didn't watch it before priming tho, primer was regular Rustoleum black primer, no varnishes, I believe I waited, uncertain at this point tbh
Over a day probably
Honestly I think the biggest issue here is the fact that you are painting ultramarines (jk bro, you do you, paint what you love, I just couldnt resist not bullying the smurfs)
😂😂 all good man, has been sometime since I get one of those.
Might be handling then. Did you varnish him?
