Hi all, I seem to be getting tiny fibers and specs when airbrushing. Any idea how do prevent them?

Wash with soap and water first. Let dry. Have a brush handy to wipe surface if something gets on it, but mainly keep your hands and work area clean.

I see what looks like a fingerprint, so also use a holder.

The finger print is print lines 🙂

Some looks like dust. Some maybe also dried paint. Is it only this paint, or other colors too? Whites are kind of thick and dry fast.

I did move my airbrush to a new room. Maybe it's just dustier here

it seems to primarily be my white color.

#

maybe I need to throw it out. Its only got a couple drops left in it.

It could be dried paint getting shot out

I'm going to try rinsing out my airbrush before using it too, and maybe keep the lid on 😄

if it is actual dust and this is coming from someone who has to fight the dander of 3 cats and a dog i find makign a DIY air filter has helped a lot i also will take a few moments before painting to dust my painting area with a dedicated paintbrush as a makeshift desk broom and blast the work area with compressed air followed up with a quick wipe down with a damp cloth this is also good for catching stuff from the last paint or hobby session

#

for the compressed air i got a datavac duster as canned compressed air can get expesive over time

#

this has really helped a lot with just random dust on minis during painting in general

#

not my image mine is currently in pieces i need to buy new air filters for it

I like the idea of wiping things down. I need to be better at doing that.
