Deep Red/Crimson TMM Armour?

Was somewhat following this PA “gleaming red” tutorial but aiming for a deeper red/crimson instead of so shiny and gleaming.

I mixed a Transparent Red and Rich Gold but I think the initial outcome is too similar to copper.

Any thoughts on how to bring it back to a deeper red? This is only two coats + a Nuln Oil wash in an attempt to darken it.

Try a bright red glaze on a small detail and see how you like it?

Thanks! Tested it out a bit and I think it reads a lot more Red. Thanks! I’ll probably highlight back in some Metallics to make it pop more but may work on other parts first.

Yeah that worked for sure. You could even do one more pass

Then highlight after that if you think it needs it

Thoughts on the trim colour? Also going to do metallic, thinking a yellow metallic like gold but could be convinced to do dark silver.

You mean the trim on chest and shield ? Yeah my instinct would go to a very bright gold. Stay away from copper tones maybe. Silver would work too. Could be a good opportunity to practice NMM:)

Hmm I think the washes covered up a lot of the Metallic shine. Thoughts on how to bring that back?

Also need ideas on Cloak colour - currently the underside is a Black Purple. The fur will go to a light grey.
