Practicing edge highlighting/traditional layering for the first time in...6 years? Thoughts or advice? I feel I jumped to the brightest blue a little too quick, and I'm having some troubles getting highlights on the rounded areas

Here's a little tip. Rather than just go for the "final" edge highlight color, use instead a color a bit closer to the midtone and after you place the highlight on edge, feather it a bit inside with fast movements of the tip of your brush. After that, place the "strong" edge highlight as you have already done
