I'm painting my Saurus in Rathalos Colors, and I need help coming up with a color for the cream like skin tone. I tried using Skeleton Horde Contrast Paint for it but I'm not exactly happy with the results and also it was rather finnicky. Is there any classic Citadel paints (or Vallejo also works ) that would work better? Thanks.

assuming by classic you just mean "not contrast" then rakarth flesh with a wash of agrax would probably get you there
Over a white basecoat it's less grey and more beige and then the agrax makes it a little more brown as in the cracks on the rathalos
but because it's a wash it doesn't tint the beige as much as a contrast would so it's mostly concentrated in the cracks
I see. I suppose as a base paint it would also cover better. Would Morghast Bone be good also?
Not used it but looking online that looks a little bit too brown imo, try it and see what you think though!
Kay, both those look good. I kinda am on the fence for how like..white I want the underbelly to be, since for Rathalos it seems to vary between coffee color to damn near gray
Could even use both, do those patterns in the morghast one
I used Vallejo "Smoke" for painting the patterns. Don't remember the colors for the wings, but then I'm not happy with my result anyways...

To clarify: I think the Smoke color for the patterns was spot-on, but using a wash on the wings was not a good idea.
