Painting models that are supposed to be attached to flight bases in clear plastic is super annoying. I've done it a couple of times, but it sucked! Last time I tried to cover up the clear plastic thing with paper and sticky tac to avoid too much paint getting in there. It worked, kinda, but removing it was a pain, and there was still paint on the plastic part. I had to try to clean it a bit with iso while the model was glued onto it.

It's not a thing I would want to try again if it can be helped!

So what do people normally do? I Have this Legion of Everblight - Heavy warbeast Neraph that I have to paint up for WTC, so I have to be a bit snappy! Any tricks or advice would be gladly appreciated!!

For my flying ones, I'll use a pin to hold them up. Usually a paperclip superglued into a hole I drilled, then hold the paperclip with a pin vise.
