Hi all! Is it normal for a sable brush to look like that?
It's dry but never used, when it's wet it has a point tip but I don't like inconsistent hairs on the belly even when it's wet.
I'm overthinking it?

When it’s dry it will split yes

That’s why we use stuff like brush soap with conditioner in it, so it retains its shape when not in use.

Looks completely normal.

Compared to the four Kolinsky sables I own, that is. Not a huge sample size but mine have all been perfectly fine.
