I think I have blood drippyness level down (hard with small minis), but I wondered what others would suggest for more texture/gore. I want some small "chunks" to mix in on the base and maybe few on the bodies to give more depth, just not sure what to try to mix.

First time painting, would also love feedback

I love that these all have fresh blood look. If you wanted to recreate a more dried / older blood. I'd mix blood for the blood God + black wash mixed in together to give it a darker feel.
Adding little chunks of bits helps for sure. You can also do like blood drips from the mini but this requires more tools / different things to recreate the goopy drips

There's like uhu glue I believe it's called that people use for goopy blood drips.
You could also use like skulls or any body parts and add a layer of colored mod podge ( or pva glue + water mixture) - it will take a bit more time as you need layers

nothin crazy, but just subtle changes in tone and brightness like dork said

#

blood for the blood god neat then focus the areas the blood would be deeper with a mix of blood for the blood god and a touch of black ink or shade does wonders

#

also applying wish a sponge makes for real nice splatter

#

but tbh your splatter/blood patterning is already suuuuuper nice

Those are top notch! I am sold on the blood of blood God, going to pick some up tomorrow. Have some ink arriving tomorrow as well will try both and with some uhu glue. Thanks again!

So I am in a lot of blood with my genestealer. Maybe I can share, some of my experiments of tonight. Blood of Blood god ftw of course . Also I like to add some flesh highlights to mimick fluids and stuff. Also I use some dried blood Vallejo to contrast and sometime a violet shade to give more depth. Uhu is very interesting to work with

#

For a fresh blood imitation , I also tried to use prince august clear red and Uhu but it was too bright to I had to tone it down. But I am happy now of how it turned out. It looks like a mix of body fluids and blood ^^

#

For dried blood, Uhu , black and blood god

#

I had some Vallejo blood intensity ink but I found it too dull.

#

I also tried epoxy with ink but it seemed kinda dull and too opaque. I heard Tamiya Clear red is a go-to also. Also I repainted on the Uhu strings to make them stronger 💪

#

If you have tips on how to create a puddle of blood, I am also open. I plan to continue my gory expérimentations
