my dudes, i got these guns on my boat and i wanna do the glowy plasma thing – except all the tutorials out there seem to be for 40k plasma guns, and those got raised glowy bits
but on these railguns, the source of the glow is in those five recessed parts on both sides of the weapon – I know it's not the best pic but hopefully you get the idea, you can see the parts in question @ bottom right and upper left
how would you go about painting the glowing effect? where to place the brightest highlights? into the sunken areas, then have the raised bars be nearly white but not quite?
for some reason i have a super hard time coming up with a logical answer
