Nice! It's such a cool sculpt
I'm so glad they released the bust version
Mine was 0003/2000 I almost didn't want to break the seal ๐
dang!
Did you paint this dark blue for the light mapping and then go over with white?
ooo, really want to see how this one turns out
I primed it black, then built up a light source with black + vanilla white
Towards the end I reduced the amount of black and added a touch of yellow
Then I made a faded dark blue mix and airbrushed the shadows. Added some magenta and black for the darkest shadows as well
I feel like this is exactly what I want to do for my bust when it arrives, at least for the skin, but I have no idea where to even start...
looking good! will join you later this month with full size model c:
But to be honest I think I will cover most of this pre-shading with brush work because brush glazing over airbrush fades is not my strong suit
The full size model is so cool, but it was out of stock unfortunately : (
i had to reserve to recasts to get mine
I was hoping this academic bust version was larger but it turned out quite small actually
is it 50-60 mm?
i guess 1/12 of actual human size
Yeah but in terms of the mm scales usually referenced, idk where it falls
70 mm probably because it is half of human
It's about 1 thumb

Brom's stuff is so fucking metal. This is sick so far.
Indeed, the world needs more sculpts in this kind of style! Thanks ๐
I didn't know that producer. Do you have other bust producers to check out?
Ps: The painting looks solid, especially like the shadows on the belly ๐
Hera models , robotrocketminiatures, big child creative and neko galaxy are some others I have purchased from
They are quite regular though so might not be anything you didn't already know
This one is from Mindwork studios btw based on artwork
@rigid dagger didn't know about most, thanks a lot! ๐
Wait Brom as in the author Brom? I didnt know he had sculpts. I love his books especially Lost Gods and The Child Thief
