#Question about kitbashing miniatures

So, late to the party, I've discovered the art of kitbashing miniatures.
My question is, can I easily kitbash with sprues from the same company? For example using North Star miniatures (sci fi and fantasy) since they should use the same format,
But what about Wargames Atlantic? Would they match with North Star?
