My second set of minis are being painted . 2 of them are done and looking for feedback😊

is the emblem on the sorceror loincloth freehanded?

it looks like calligraphy with how you modulated the width of the line in such a precise way

this is honestly incredible for just a second project, do you have an art background outside of minis?

And no, I do not. I was always bad with art at school, but my friends encouraged me to paint a little bit and I loved it :),

you look comfortable with a brush for sure

I think minis are great for people without much artistic inspiration starting out since they're almost paint by numbers and you can go at them from the perspective of an artisan instead of an artist if you want

and as you get better and more invested you start expressing yourself more and more in your technique and stuff like lighting/texture choices

yeah, really appreciate the feedback. I'm still struggling with glaze, highlights and blends, but they will come with practice 🙂

you're doing well with brush control so it would be nice to look into doing some basic volumes, maybe

stuff like getting some more depth onto areas like the shoulders or leg armour plates
