Hello everyone.
I was looking up some tutorials on youTube to do some home made washes, mostly for terrain.
Most reciepies included inks for pigments, distilled water or equivalent and Acrylic medium.
I got a bottle from a local dollar store but I realized at home that it says Pouring medium.
I can't really find a clear entry to explain the difference and more importanltly if I can use it instead or if I need to get some bottle that explicitly says Acrylic medium (matte preferably).

Also some people say dish cleaning soap for surface tension some say glycerin...
Anyone using homemade wahes?

I don't know about making washes from it, but I use the same exact stuff to thin my paints on recommendation from my mother-in-law.

I get pretty good results from it. It does dry clear and seems to have a little bit of a glossy finish.

Haven't attempted to use it to make a wash yet, but now I think I will
