Alright I want to push this guy some more out of my comfort zone which is basically now. To make my cc pls rank proud I would like

I also see improval potential myself. Would be great if I can get some outside perspective.

||- his back side is pretty lackluster I will add some faint red glow as well but not as bright as the front

• b&w image suggests that there is little contrast overall especially from bottom to top. I should brighten the lower area way more I suppose
• my lines are very rough and should be cleaned up. Especially the skull on his belt and the chains are not readable.
• he's very single toneish but can't do much about that at this point color wise. Reddish glow at the front some blueish light from above and purple tentacle is very samy same. If I would start again the tentacle would be more blue or green but I like the purple now. To improve I think I will try to separate the materials at least so his chest metal plate is reflecting brighter and more than the fabric. But for the back there is not much I can do imo||

Turns out I also glued on the head the wrong way when it broke off he is supposed to look slightly to the left.

Nice colors. At a first glance it lacks a strong focal point. I guess the feet are brighter? Typically the value, hue, saturation and temperature would lead to the head and face.

They’re quite strongly lit by the red glow from below, is there an alternative light source from above you could add or bump up?

I think the base is more interesting with him having a blind fold on. I would probably say to start at the teeth at the bottom and glance upwards since he is lifted up from the tentacle which is easily lost 👀

I do have a faint blueish zenithal source but it's very faint I didn't want to overpower the bottom. Do you think I shouldn't worry about?

I think you could probably increase the blue/brightness value over the raised parts of the face at least to draw more attention

But at the same time I think it’s quite stylised, and I like the overall effect

Yeah I agree, you could do a cold blue and higher values on the face. This would still contrast a lot from the feet, making them both more interesting.

This red is really hard to do. Added some more and am happier now. I could blend some more the back side I suppose but calling it done for now. Will push myself more with the 75mm on my table 👀
