#NMM Help

Is there some specific part on it you don't like? Because at least to my (non-expert) eyes that looks like very good NMM
Could help to paint the areas around it to give it some context?
if you need and advice, i can suggest focusing your highilgihts more
upper part and edges should catch more light, you can always blur highlights a bit bit this is very reflective take which i chose
on axe i highlighted all edges putting accent on part which catch most of light
as another addition you could add secondary reflections or other color accent

i chose reflection of base but it could be verdigris, various rust or moss, it is little accent that add dementions to metal
now looking at sketch i don't think that another highlight on his belly is that necessary, especially how bright i painted it but i add another reflection to surface making it more believable.
with your highlight placement you are mimicking shiny cylinder, so principal should be the same
Thanks so much! Quick question, since the shoulder panels are basically flat instead of curved/cylindrical, would the highlight be more of a gradient to the point farthest from the lights source, like I tried here?
I’ll probably still bump the highlights a bit and maybe add a secondary reflection from@the ground like you suggested!
i see them as v shaped plate so i interpret it like cylinder where angle between strokes is center. It is fun thing with nmm that you can generally interpret things as you wish
flat surfae also will do
i prefer cylinder shaped shoulders
Still working with your tips, but I think the axe and shoulder armor are definitely improved (contrast looks a bit better irl, my phone is a little foggy)
Not sure about the beard color, what do you think? I was thinking either ginger or something more subtle, like grey or black
