I have an idea for my Sororitas models where I'd like models with jet packs or power weapons to have some dynamic effect on the base with swirling red roses. I am wondering what I could do to create a swirling pattern of red flocking on bases that won't look like water splashing.

It'll probably rely on finding a good material for your rose/petals. I'd maybe use some wire or something to glue them to.

I would imagine using cotton balls as a base for the 'smoke' effect from jet packs and then having thin oval chips for rose petals would be good for materials?
