I'm doing a sprue tree (to make a terrain piece) and trying to do more later, but I was wondering if this reads as a dead tree well enough to glue it to the failed print or if I should do anything else before I go through some finalizing proceses?

To add; I'm not entirely trying to make it look like a perfect tree, I don't think I'll be able to do that so I want it to be "good enough"

it still reads a bit too much like sprue to me
I think filing down some of the most prominent edges might change that

I would give it a coat of primer , prefer black. That way you it loses the sprue grey to help
